Review

Provided you have gym mebership for Westwood, their pool are a great option in Dublin. If you are not a member, you will need to come as a guest and pay excessive 25 Euros for a dive. Westwood has 3 gym locations that include pools in Dublin: Clontarf, Leopardstown and Sandymount. They are very different: wheras Clontarf provides a sporty 50 m pool, Sandymount has a more relaxing style "splash" pool with warm salt water and bubbles. Leopardtown offers a 25 m and a 10 m pool.

With Clontarf, Westwood has the only 50 m pool apart from NAC. However, the pool is not as deep, you can touch the bottom without getting your head under water. If you don't need that depth however, it is a great pool to swim in. Even in the evenings it's not particularly busy, open late and quite in a good condition.

There is a sauna, steam bath and whirl pool attached as well, which is great. Unfortunately the sauna area is quite crowded sometimes in the evenings and not particularly relaxing.

Again, Westwood gym is one of those places where you will need a locker to lock things up and a swimming hat to access the pool. Both can be purchased at reception for 5 Euro or something each (which is quite overpriced).
