Story: In celebration of Dublin's Millenium. The "child on the swing" is considered as very charming in comparism to many other statues in Dublin. It is very hidden as well, not in one of the main roads. It was inspired by Fitzsimons' memories of old Mount Street: children playing games in the streets.
