Visitors to Dublin are generally surprised to see young kids wearing wetsuits and jumping in the presumed cold and dirty water of River Liffey and the Canal area. But they really do! Dublin City Council even holds a yearly river swim competition.
Even though, quality of water in the river has improved over the last years, the Liffey is still quite dirty.
