About Ballyfermot (formerly "Sean Dunne")
The development of the complex began in October 2004 and was completed in June 2008, when it was handed over to the council, which operates the facility, to fit-out.
A council spokesperson said: "The old swimming pool was obsolete and leisure facilities were needed in the area. The new centre was provided in accordance with the council's strategy to provide modern leisure facilities through the city."
And this pool clearly is an alternative to expensive private gym membership. It is clean and modern.
Swimming times always start at the hour which is quite annoying. So you can't start your workout at any given time but have to stick to the full hour. It also means, that a swim can be no longer than 1 hour.
